A TEAM of fitness fanatics gathered to complete an exercise challenge to raise money for a children's charity on Saturday.
Around 10 people, including staff and gym members at Fifth Dimension Health Club, used the 49 pieces of cardiovascular equipment, such as treadmills and crosstrainers, to clock up more than 630km in four hours and five minutes.
Fitness trainers JJ Cook and Andy Cole organised the event to raise money for Starlight Children's Foundation, which brightens the lives of seriously and terminally ill children by granting their wishes and providing hospital entertainment to help take their minds off the pain, fear and isolation of their illness.
JJ said: "It was tiring by the end – some people were starting to feel it. But we did it and we are very proud that we completed it."
Andy Furley, a gym member, clocked up the longest distance of 75.15km.
The team are still collecting sponsorship money but think they have raised around £2,200. If you would like to sponsor them contact JJ Cook at Fifth Dimension on 01453 769120.
